Principal's Message
Mr. Ng Thing Seng
Principal
Ladies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Teachers, Respected Parents, and students,
Art, in its myriad forms, serves as an essential conduit of human expression. Whether it's the brush strokes of a painter, the arts of making of video content, the graceful movements of a dancer, or the harmonious notes of a musician, or the creation of thematic dining experience, each artistic pursuit are reflections of our humanities. I would even go on to say that humanities would be less meaningful without arts.
Every time a child picks up a crayon, every time they strum a guitar, or dance to a rhythm that resonates with their heart, they are not only creating art. They are building bridges—bridges of understanding, empathy, and shared experiences that connect us all on a deeper level. They are learning to see the world through a different lens, cultivating a holistic perspective that encourages them to appreciate diversity, challenge the status quo, and imagine a world beyond the boundaries of the mundane.
And so, today, we celebrate not only the artistic creations that will be showcased in this gala but also the creative spirits behind them. We acknowledge the passion, the dedication, and the courage it takes for our students to bring their innermost thoughts, ideas, and emotions to life, to share them with us.
So let's pledge to foster this nurturing environment that encourages exploration, expression, and excellence in the arts. Let's strive to make art not just an extracurricular activity, but an integral part of our curriculum, a vital element of our teaching and learning journey.
To our young artists, I say: Be bold, be brave, and be inventive. Let your creativity flow and permeate every aspect of your life. Take risks, embrace your uniqueness, and let your art shine forth, lighting the way for others.
In conclusion, this arts avenue is more than a program. Let it be a statement - a statement that underscores the importance of art in our school, in our education system, and in our society at large. Let's come together, not just as a school, but as a community, in recognizing, appreciating, and furthering the cause of art.
Thank you all for being a part of this magnificent voyage. Ladies and gentlemen, let us dive into this remarkable journey of artistic exploration.
