Gan Lei Peng

The Muar series of prints was created using the intaglio print-making technique with double plates. The prints consist of two metal plates: one depicts street scenes, and the other overlays relevant text to reveal multiple local languages in Malaysia. The interlocking plates create a tableau of place, exploring how external influences from the surrounding world can create harmony.
